Attention Graduates... Update!!!

Just a note to our graduates... June 1st is not going to work for our banquet. Please let me know ASAP what day(s) are good for each of you the last week of May/first week of June so we can decide on a new date for the banquet. Thank you!!!

Attention Graduates...

Just a note to my graduates... You and your families(whoever you would like to invite) are invited to join us at Hoss's on Thursday evening, June 1st for a banquet with the pastoral staff to honor each of you, our graduates. The church will pay for your meal, all family members will need to pay for their own meals. Please let me know ASAP(by May 30th) how many will be attending. Also, I need to get with each of you sometime in the next week or so to get some information because I'm going to put a special section in our next newsletter recognizing our graduates. One more thing; Sunday, June 11th we'll be honoring you, our graduates during the AM service so I'll be putting something in the bulletin that day as well. You may want to invite parents, grandparents, and friends to join us on this special day.
I would just like to say to each of you that I'm very proud of you for your accomplishments and I thank God that He's given me the opportunity to be a part of your life. It's been a real joy and an honor!

Small Groups

I just wanted to write a little piece about our small groups. I haven't heard much yet on how the other small groups of the church are going but I am very pleased with how our small group is going. I thought about it, I think we'll call our small group, 'UthLife'. Like it? Anyway, I thought it went well last night, we had a good time of discussion. I think it's helped that we're doing it at our house rather than at the church. Would love to hear what any of you think about it so far. Anyway, that's it for now. God's blessings!

District Council II

Still at District Council. Just wanted to get on here and write again cause I'm in the hotel room with nothing to do and I'm waiting for Lisa to get here. She's on her way now and should be here in about 45 minutes. Anyway, while here at District Council I've been doing a lot of praying and heart searching. I'm seeking God's wisdom on what I can do to take our youth ministry to a higher level. The Lord has shown me some different things so I'll continue to pray and seek God and then I may try to implement some new ideas in our group. Oh well, enough for now. I love all of my teens so much and I'm so honored to serve as youth pastor here at First Assembly of God. God bless you all!!

Matthew

We've just recently completed our study of the book of Matthew on Wednesday evenings. I'd like to know what you all thought of our study, what you liked, what you might suggest that I do to make a similar study better in the future. District Council

It's been quite awhile since I've written anything here. I think I'll try to write more often. Anyway, here goes...
I'm in my hotel room at District Council. It's 1:oo AM and I'm still awake. All day today while here at District Council, all I've been able to think about is Lisa & the kids and my youth kids. I'm only an hour away but I miss everyone. Just so you all know, I thought of you many times today and I lifted you up in prayer. I hope all is well with all of you. I'll be praying tomorrow that you have a good time in church tomorrow evening. I'll miss not being there with all of you. I've felt God speaking to me about different things today throughout our services. Maybe I'll talk about it soon. God gave me my next sermon today. Well, I guess that's all for now.
