Our First Snow!!!

Wow! We finally got some snow! It's hard to believe that we waited until January 21st to get our first snow. I for one don't mind that we've gone this long without snow and wouldn't mind if this was our first and last snowfall of the season but others who enjoy skiing, snow boarding and sledding were probably very excited to see the white stuff falling even though we didn't get very much at all. Well...I guess I would have to admit that I do want a little bit of snow because I always look forward to taking the youth group snow tubing each year at Whitetail.
You know something really cool about snow...Every single snowflake is different than any other, there are no two the same. It's just like you and me. All of us are different. We all have different personalities, different looks and different likes & dislikes. Just like all those tiny little individual snowflakes together make a beautiful blanket of snow, all of us as Christians, with all of our differences make up the family of God. God loves each of us very much and He loves us for who we are and what we can become through Him. He loves our individuality, He doesn't want us all to be the same. If everyone were the same, what a boring world this would be. So, if you're ever having a 'bad hair' day, a 'fat' day or you're just feeling blue, remember that God loves you for who you are and His love will never change!!
God bless you!!

Welcome To The New Year!!

Welcome to the start of 2007!! I can't believe how time seems to fly by. I hope all of you enjoyed the Holidays with your families!! As we begin the new year I'm thinking of those resolutions that we all make each year. A couple of mine are to lose weight and get to work on my school work much better than I have been lately. I'm sure all of us will make resolutions this year that we hope to accomplish and as you're thinking of the ones you'll make, I hope you'll keep these in mind: Resolve to read God's Word on a daily basis, resolve to spend time in prayer, resolve to share God's message of hope and love with as many people as you can in the new year. These are things that some of us have learned about in church our whole lives but they often get overlooked with all the other things in life that keep us busy. I hope you'll not forget that God should be number one in our lives and your relationship with Him is very important. If we don't read His Word, if we don't spend time in prayer, we won't build that relationship with Him and we won't be able to teach others about Him. This year, I pray that you'll strive to be the best Christian you can be! Let's do our best to show others the way to Heaven in 2007.
