Work Days

The youth group's been busy lately with fund raising projects for our trip to National Fine Arts Festival and our 2011 missions trip to Ecuador.  This past weekend we held a car wash which did very well.  Today, we had a work day at Dick Stepler's home and next week we'll have several work day projects scheduled.  Watch Facebook for more information.
Thanks so much to Courtney Campbell, the only student who was able to make it to the work day today, for being willing to tackle today's project with me and for helping so well to get things done!!!!  Love & appreciate you Courtney!!!!!!

Church Web Site Update

Just a note to let all of you know that we now have a new web master for the church website.  I'd like to give a big "Thank You" to Randy Poper who had taken on this responsibility over the past few years.  With all of his duties as church treasurer, as well as work and family, he's decided to step away from maintaining the website any longer.  We appreciate all the work he's put into this responsibility over these past years and we say again, "Thank You" for a job well done.
With that being said, we welcome Kevin Wetzel, our new website manager.  Please be patient as he learns all the details of the website design program and works to get everything updated as quickly as possible.
For information regarding Lost & Found Youth Ministry, you can receive updates in a number of ways:  Simply click the Lost & Found Youth Ministry tab to be directly linked to my blog page (which will serve as our webpage for now), you can also check us out on Facebook by searching Lost & Found youth ministry, or you can text the word LFUTH to 41411 to receive updates by text (there is no charge for this service through Textmarks, the only charges you'll receive will depend on your cell phone calling plan).
Praise God for technology, it's an amazing thing!!
Well, until next time...
God bless,
Pastor Darryl  :)

A New Look

Hello Everyone,
Again, let me apologize for not keeping up with this so well lately.  Since we no longer have the geocities website, I've been keeping up with Facebook and wasn't paying much attention to the blog.  I'll try to do better at updating once in a while.  As you can see, I've changed the appearance of the blog a little bit.  It's still the same material, just a refreshing new look.  Have a blessed day and I'll write again soon.
Until then...
:)

I pray all is well for you as you read this. Know that no matter what you go through, God is good, and He is faithful. He will see you through.

Back To School!!

Can you believe it's that time of year again? We hope everyone's off to a great start of another school year.
We've got an important event coming up on Wednesday, September 23rd that I pray everyone will take part in...See You At The Pole. This special day gives students the opportunity to show their school administration, faculty and other students that they care enough to gather together for a time of prayer. Students gather at 7:00 AM around their school flag pole for a time of prayer & praise before the beginning of the school day. There have been wonderful words of testimony in years past of the great things God has done because of the faithful prayers of students, teachers & youth pastors who have gathered together for See You At The Pole. Will you consider being a part of this amazing experience this year?
I'm sure lots of you will be taking part in various sports and activities this year. I would ask that you please give a copy of your activity schedule to Ms. Lisa & I so that we might come out and support you in whatever it is that you're doing.
The beginning of the school year means school pictures. Ms. Lisa & I would love to have a picture of each of our kids so when you get your pictures, please consider giving us one if you've got enough after handing them out to friends and family.
We're looking forward to all the great things God has in store for our group during the 2009-2010 school year and we hope you'll join us during our upcoming services.
Be sure to keep up with our schedule of group activities and events by getting a copy of the monthly calendar at the next youth group service or you can check us out on the web at www.facebook.com Keyword: Lost & Found Youth Ministry.
Until next time,
PDH :)

National Fine Arts Festival

Lisa and I are so proud of our students who've made it through both the Sectional and District levels of Fine Arts Festival and now are practicing and preparing to attend and compete at the National level.
We ask that you pray for traveling mercies as well as God's protection and safety while we're away. We'll be flying out of Washington-Dulles on Monday, August 3rd and returning home on Sunday, August 9th. Please remember Olivia, Caleb, Audrey and Courtney in your prayers next week as they compete.
Watch our blog and also check us out on Facebook (Lost & Found Youth Ministry) for daily updates throughout the week.
We thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Until next time, God's richest blessings!!
:)
